How it Works
The popularity of vibration training can be explained by its simplicity. Vibration training takes exercises which are both familiar and uncomplicated and dramatically increases the results that they can deliver through the application of rapid vibrations.
The benefits of performing common exercises such as press-ups, sit-ups or squats are therefore increased simply by performing them on a JTX Vibration Plate rather than on the floor. It is the simplicity and ease with which these machines improve results and reduce training times that explains their incredible popularity.
Vibration training enables users to lose weight and tone up without the need to increase the loads suffered by joints and muscles through the application of additional weight. By removing the need for extra weight vibration training reduces negative impacts on the body. It is therefore described as a low impact method of training which is ideal for people of all ages and abilities.
In order to successfully lose weight, improve strength, core stability or power it is necessary to apply either mass or acceleration to the body. Most exercise training techniques apply additional mass to the body while exercising. The mass is supplied in the form of weights and it is for this reasons that gyms are dominated by weight training machines and free weights.
JTX vibration plates apply acceleration to the body in the form of rapid vibrations which occur up to 45 times per second. The body's response to these vibrations is to involuntarily contract the muscles in an attempt to re-stabilise itself and it is this response which generates the many benefits described below.
The benefits of vibration training have been promoted by both fitness professionals and medical academics. The results which can be achieved have been verified through extensive independent research by the academic community and the positive experiences seen by fitness trainers and professionals.
JTX vibration plates help users lose weight, decrease cellulite, tone and increase muscles strength and flexibility, improve their circulation and bone mineral density and reduce their recovery time from injury and pain.
It is perhaps not surprising then that vibration training has become the new "buzz word" of the health and fitness sector.
Benefits
The benefits of vibration training have been promoted by fitness professionals and verified by academic medical research. Vibration training is effective for:
- Rapid weight loss and toning.
- Reducing cellulite.
- Increasing strength and flexibility.
- Improving circulation and bone density.
- Reducing recovery time from pain and injury.
Spend less time working out: Vibration training takes traditional exercise routines and intensifies them through the application of vibration. This allows you to reduce the length of your workouts and achieve results in unprecedented time.
The Facts: Scientists at the University of Antwerp recently carried out a study into the affects of vibration training on weight loss. To do this they gave the same dietary advice to three groups of people. The first group did no exercise for six months, the second did aerobic activity such as swimming three times a week and the final group used vibration machines for 13 minutes a day, five days a week.
After six months the vibration group lost nearly two-thirds more abdominal fat than the aerobic group. They also lost 11% of their body fat compared to 7% for the aerobic group and 6% for the diet only group.
